About Us

MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Dear friends, sponsors, and cherished supporters,

As the founder and President of GCNDF, I am honored and humbled to share our journey and vision with you. My story, much like those we aim to serve, is one of resilience, hope, and unbreakable faith. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, I know firsthand what it feels like to be uprooted, to cross borders in search of safety, and to struggle with the daily uncertainty of where the next meal might come from.

I have walked in the shoes of a refugee, navigating the unknown, often wondering if anyone cared about our journey, our needs, or our dignity. Coming to the United States as an immigrant, I’ve carried with me not only the weight of those struggles but also the belief that every individual, regardless of where they’re from or the hardships they’ve faced, deserves a life of dignity, opportunity, and hope.

I also know that the smallest acts of compassion, a meal, a pair of shoes, and a helping hand, can light up the darkest days.

At GCNDF, we aim to be that light. We have made it our mission to support the homeless, immigrant families, and low-income individuals who are in the thick of life’s toughest battles.

Today, our work wouldn’t be possible without the kindness and generosity of individuals like you. With each donation, each partnership, and each sponsorship, you are not only providing clothes, food, and essential resources—you are standing beside us in our mission to uplift, empower, and restore hope. Together, we are building bridges for families who are simply trying to survive and find their footing, offering resources and dignity to those who need it most.

It is my hope that through GCNDF, we not only meet immediate needs but also honor each person’s inherent worth, just as others once did for me. Your support can transform lives in ways that words cannot capture. I invite you to join us in this journey—one that reminds us all of the power of compassion, connection, and belief in each other.

With heartfelt gratitude,

~Habiba D. Maulidi
